Our Enchanting and Joyful Spring Break at Disney World
Dear reader and kiddos,
Spring has always been a time for renewal, adventure, and making lasting memories. This year, we decided to plan a spring break trip to Disney World with the kids. After a year of delays and a rollercoaster of work commitments, we finally embarked on our much-anticipated adventure to Disney World in Orlando, Florida.
Our decision to take this spring break trip was not made lightly. Amidst the hustle and bustle of daily life, and even considering postponing the trip further due to work demands, a moment of clarity struck me. During a challenging week, Peter was down with a high fever. As I cared for him, my thoughts wandered to what truly mattered. It reminded me of the importance of making precious memories with our children while they are still young. Inspired by this realization, we decided it was time to go big and make this trip happen.
Here are some of our Spring Break memories…
One of the highlights of our spring break trip planning was deciding where to stay. I remember watching a YouTube video where the influencer mentioned how staying at the Grand Floridian Resort was a childhood dream.
This resonated with me. While I often champion frugality and simplicity, there are times when indulging in a bit of luxury and making dreams come true is absolutely worth it. The Grand Floridian did not disappoint.
From the moment we arrived, we were enveloped in an atmosphere of luxury and impeccable service. It was an exceptional experience that set the tone for our entire stay.
Disney World is renowned for its outstanding staff, and our experience confirmed this reputation. Every cast member we encountered was not only well-trained but also genuinely enthusiastic and helpful. This level of service contributed significantly to the relaxed and joyful atmosphere of our vacation.
Dining Options at Disney World
Dining on-site at various restaurants and choosing to watch the spectacular fireworks from the comfort of our resort most evenings were among the many highlights of our trip. The convenience and quality of our dining experiences added to the magic of our stay, especially at Gasparilla Island Grill which we visited a few times, and Grand Floridian Cafe.
An unexpected consideration that emerged from our trip was the allure of Disney Vacation Club membership. While we’ve never been keen on timeshare ownership, the idea of becoming Disney Vacation Club members is now an enticing possibility for us.
Our Disney World adventure began with a surprise for the kids as all our best adventures do. Waking them in the early hours, we gently carried their sleepy bodies to the warmed truck, whispering of the impending adventure.
We had prepared them for a “big surprise” in the weeks leading up to our departure, packing their backpacks with gift cards, glow sticks, autograph books, lanyards, and more.
To our dearest children, this spring break trip was so much more than just a vacation. It was a chance to create unforgettable memories, experience the magic of Disney World with family, and reinforce the importance of family and adventure. We are beyond thrilled to have shared this magical journey with you.
Love, Mom
