Love Always, Your Mom

One day, they’ll look back on their life and be able to see the explorations, the adventures, the history of our family, all of the intentions and love we have had for them over the years, and so much more through these memories we keep.

Our little loves

Claire and Peter, Peter and Claire, our little pair who we just love so deeply.

Claire, the spectacular artist of the family, is never turning down an opportunity to be crafty and creative or sing out loud at the restaurant for everyone to fawn over. She is our beautiful piano player, always ready to drop anything and give us a recital performance or dance her heart out to her favorite music.

Claire is fearless, unless we are talking about heights, and she has confidence that radiates all around her. To be her mother is such a gift.

Our sweet Peter is more reserved than his sister, but certainly all boy. He will never miss a chance to sword fight with you and is wildly strong for his perfect preschool age.

While Claire is a natural-born leader, Peter doesn’t miss out on the opportunity to take charge here and there even though he’s the second child, as we fully believe that second children should have a chance to lead. Having a son is such a high honor.

I love our family

Our family deeply understands the privilege we hold to be able to travel the way we do, work on the go, school on the go, and enjoy our time away. It is not something we take lightly and teach Claire and Peter that we work hard for what we have.

Mannerisms and etiquettes that our grandparents and great-grandparents grew up with are something that we find special and important in our home, and you will find us intertwining those things with the barefoot walks we take down our dirt road.

While enjoying a chic resort or a designer brand, we also enjoy our nights in the field, eating our food fresh off a few plants in our yard, and having some quality fresh air.

History is so important to our family and is something that we want to be able to pass down so intentionally to Claire and Peter. Claire always jokes that my favorite movies are from the 1920s, and she is not wrong! We enjoy historic activities with the family that are inviting and educational.

Family is so special

Family is our very first community, and when you work hard for yourself, you also are working hard for your family.

We raise our children tethered to us because we want them to know they can always come back to us, and we want them to always come back to us. When Claire and Peter look back on their childhood, we want them to remember the time we spent together as a family, and how special these moments were. We want them to know that family will be here for them, always, and that some of our deepest lessons will come from our time as a family.

My mom is my best friend, and I hope to keep that same connection with Claire and Peter in adulthood. Our family ties are lifelong and impactful in our home.
