Welcome to Week 13: Embracing Warm Water Together!
Hello, dear family, friends, and readers! I can hardly believe we’re already thirteen weeks into this journey together! It feels like just yesterday we were all tackling our first challenge. Each week has brought unique struggles and rewards, and I couldn’t be more thankful for the support we’ve offered each other, especially in our homeschooling adventures.
This week, I thought it would be lovely to start our mornings with something simple yet powerful: warm water. It may sound like a small change, but the benefits can be remarkable for our health and well-being.

Here are some benefits to consider:
- Improved Digestion: Warm water can help our digestive systems work more efficiently, making it easier to break down food and keep things running smoothly. A happy tummy means a happy mindset for learning!
- Metabolism Boost: Some studies suggest that warm water may even give our metabolism a bit of a kickstart, helping us feel more energized as we dive into our day.
- Relief from Constipation: When our tummies feel off, warm water can help keep everything regular and comfortable, making it easier to focus on what matters—our learning journey.
- Hydration: After a night of sleep, our bodies need hydration to wake up and get going. Starting with warm water is a cozy way to rehydrate and prepare for the day ahead.
From my own experience, I can honestly say that warm water has been a game-changer for me! For months, I dealt with acid reflux, and incorporating a warm glass of water each morning made a notable difference in how I felt. It’s become a vital part of my morning routine, allowing me to better support my family’s journey.

So, why not make this warm water challenge a part of your daily routine this week? It’s a simple way to kick off the day, encouraging good habits that benefit us now and in the future. Plus, it can be a little comfort for all of us whenever we need it!
I know that everyone might have different feelings about this. Dad is excited to hydrate, while Claire isn’t as thrilled about the thought of warm water to drink but is curious about the digestion benefits. And I had to tell Peter that, unfortunately, no honey in the water! I personally plan to enjoy mine while my coffee brews!
I invite all of you to enjoy at least a quarter cup of warm water each morning this week. You can sip it near the kitchen sink or while going over lessons or share it with the kids as part of our morning ritual. Let’s embrace this warm hydration together and see what happens!
